Making your Job Application Process easy as pie

We've enabled the Job Application Manager feature for all our corporate users.

This feature allows you to create job application forms in your Management Centre, and use these to create full profiles for your candidates - linked to their personality profile.

I've just created a job vacancy for a part-time web designer to help me with the PeopleMaps front end. I've asked for some basic information including contact details, skills and experience - if you have an existing application form, you will just use that as a template - and the beautiful thing is that I can send my candidates straight to the unique URL and get them to apply online, before they're automatically directed to take the personality questionnaire.

It's another feature to make your recruitment process easier - and best of all - it doesn't cost you any extra money.

If you want to try it out - make sure you've signed up for a corporate account - and ask Hudson to switch it on for you.

Easy as making a sandwich?

That's the claim of wiki software company PBwiki - and the PeopleMaps team supports it wholeheartedly!

PBwiki offer free wiki software to personal users, education users and business users. We've signed up to their package and have a raft of wiki's underway. Not least our company intranet, our reports development wiki and our system development wiki.

You know what? We can't imagine how we coped without PBwiki. It's transformed the way we work - making things smoother, faster and well, easy as making a sandwich (most of the time)!

Fully encrypted SSL access, and hourly data back ups mean we don't have to worry about security or indeed losing our valuable information, and of course, there's a whole load of other neat features, including first-class tech support and help from David and the rest of the PBwiki team.

My only complaint? I don't like peanut butter! Perhaps they should release JPwiki* for the Scottish market?
