A recent figure from the CIPD states that over 36% of employers use psychometric testing as part of their selection process. That's a lot of companies, which means you have a 1 in 3 chance of facing one at your next interview. Do you know what yours says about you? Do you know anything about psychometric testing?
Do I have a vested interest in telling you this? Yes of course I do, as PeopleMaps sells reports however we also give you a free report and explain about psychometrics on the site and in this blog, so feel free to exploit us.
Do your research. Prepare for your interview. It is unlikely that you will get to read the results of your personality "test" at your interview, so get a feel for how you are coming across. Nothing flatters an employer more than a candidate that has evidently done their research and prepared for the interview. Make an effort and demonstrate that you have done so at the interview. You can always ask to read your report and suggest that they compare it with the one you already have with you. It's daring but as an employer I would be impressed. It shows initiative. It shows that you are serious about this job.
