Well the summer is here, though I'm not sure how you can tell, and while you are thinking of getting out of work for a couple of weeks, employers are thinking about the fresh recruitment drive in September. So as you are sitting on your beach, delighted to be away from the job you hate, you may want to give some thought to finding the job you love. If you are living your life for the holidays then you probably need to have a long look at your job. Here is a quick check list that you can use to form your plan of action;
- Decide if you want a complete career change or just a change of employer (The beach is a great place for this kind of deep thinking)
- Identify the companies you would like to work for
- Using your PeopleMaps reports write your CV, your letter and your opening speech that will convince the companies to employ you. Surprisingly most of the companies on your list will be hiring even if they are not advertising any vacancies.
Nice checklist. I've been preparing myself so I can get a job. It's also important that as an employee, I would love to work with people and company that I dreamed of.
